The raw material processed at the LOS plant consists of dairy plant effluents with a high fat content. In addition to effectively treating the high levels of COD and BOD, it was necessary to address the issue of \u201cemergency\u201d discharges of rejected milk, which exceed average loads by several times. UTC proposed a modern 6-stage aerobic treatment system, which successfully addressed all the challenges it was tasked with. We designed and built the LOS on a turnkey basis, commissioned the facility, and trained the staff.
