Phase IV of the biogas complex
of the Teofipol Energy Company

On January 16, 2010, a contract was signed between UTC and the Teofipol Energy Company for the design of a new biogas plant with a capacity of 3500 m³/h.
The complex will mainly process prepared straw and distillers’ grains. Additional raw materials will be corn silage and beet pulp.

 New construction:

After 5 years of cooperation with Zorg Biogas, the Teofipol Energy Company decided to build a new phase using the high-load industrial reactor technology from Adverio/Netherlands. The general contractor for construction is UTC. The complex is planned to start operating in the first quarter of 2021 along with a bioethanol plant based on molasses and grain.

   Complex configuration

   2 industrial reactors х  5400 м³  and  1 liker – 5400 м³

  Raw materials

It is planned to process 360 tons of prepared straw, 283 tons of distillery pot ale, 10 tons of corn silage, and 5 tons of beet pulp per day.

As part of the project, the following will be built:

  • straw warehouse, silage warehouse
  • economizers
  • систему подачі біомаси
  • biomass feeding system
  • fermenters – 2 x 5400 m³
  • feeder – 5400 m³
  • machine room
  • biogas flare
  • production building
  • sludge dewatering system
  • communication tunnel
  • technical water tanks
  • material composition

The complex was designed over three months, with pre-project tests carried out by Opure/Netherlands along with the participation of the technology partner – Adverio/Netherlands.
