Field Training for Environmental Science Students at the National University of Food Technologies

Bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates had the opportunity to tour the production facilities at the Koziatyn Machine-Building Plant, where they observed modern technologies used to manufacture high-quality equipment for biogas complexes and bioethanol plants.

Bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates had the opportunity to tour the production facilities at the Koziatyn Machine-Building Plant, where they observed modern technologies used to manufacture high-quality equipment for biogas complexes and bioethanol plants.
Yevgen Lukashivich, CEO of UTK PJSC, personally presented the technology for converting food industry and agricultural waste into biogas. The students gained a detailed understanding of how biogas reactors, gas holders, and bioscrubbers for biogas purification work, as well as a modern biomethane liquefaction line. The raw materials used for production at the Yuzefo-Mykolaiv station are beet pulp, chicken manure, and apple pomace. The process of producing liquefied biomethane and organic fertilizer—digestate—drew particular attention.

A Ukrainian technology company is convinced that training qualified environmental specialists is possible only through close cooperation between the business sector and educational institutions.
We would like to express our gratitude to the National University of Food Technologies for its fruitful cooperation in training future specialists in the fields of ecology and renewable energy.
