We decided to build a biogas power plant in January 2018. The key factors for the project were a short payback period and the ability to gradually increase production. From the outset, we planned for cogeneration with electricity sales under the “green” tariff. UTC demonstrated the efficiency of its industrial reactors and proposed a transparent phased construction plan without the need for loans. The design and construction of Phase I (3.2 MW) were completed in less than 18 months. Thanks to the fact that a significant portion of the equipment was manufactured at UTC’s production facility, the company received a 10% refund and a surcharge on the “green” tariff. We are currently continuing construction of Phase II—5 MW.
